“The law may deal in facts, but the people we serve need to feel seen, heard, and understood.”

-Incoming Associate Danielle Fink

I am currently a Law Clerk and Incoming Associate Attorney at Hertz Schram PC, having recently graduated from Washington University School of Law in May 2025. I sat for the Michigan Bar Exam in July 2025 and am awaiting admission to the State Bar of Michigan.
My primary focus is Family Law, though I am eager to contribute to and learn from all areas of the firm’s practice. I see myself as a “sponge” at this stage — committed to absorbing as much experience and knowledge as possible from the talented attorneys I now work alongside.
My decision to pursue family law stems from both personal experience and professional conviction. As a child of divorce, I understand firsthand the long-term emotional and practical impacts family law outcomes have on children. That perspective drives my commitment to being an empathetic, zealous advocate — one who sees beyond the paperwork to the people affected by every decision. I believe my work ethic, compassion, and emotional intelligence are essential traits in navigating some of the most difficult and emotionally charged moments in a client’s life.
Before joining the firm, I gained valuable hands-on experience through externships and clinical work with survivors of domestic violence, and I mediated landlord/tenant disputes in WashU’s Civil Rights & Mediation Clinic. These experiences sharpened my legal skills and confirmed my desire to work closely with individuals and families navigating complex, high-stakes transitions.
In my free time, I enjoy painting, listening to podcasts, and spending time with my fiancé and four siblings.
