Our Team

Mr. Nofar practices primarily in the areas of estate and tax planning, business succession planning, planning for special needs beneficiaries, creditor protection, charitable gift planning and tax controversies against federal, state and local taxing authorities.  Mr. Nofar's tax practice includes successfully negotiating IRS "offers in compromises", installment agreements, and releases of liens, as well as tax planning for individuals and business.  Prior to joining Hertz Schram, Mr. Nofar owned his own law practice and  CPA firm.  Early in his career he attained valuable tax experience during his employment in Deloitte's tax department.

Mr. Nofar frequently advises and lectures before CPAs, financial advisors, insurance professionals, as well as other attorneys on sophisticated estate and succession planning matters, tax and corporate issues.  Mr. Nofar also lectures at the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and Wayne State Law School on various estate planning and tax issues.  Mr. Nofar's work is differentiated by his level of service and attention to detail.

Mr. Nofar graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2001. He received his B.S.B.A. in accounting from Wayne State University in 1996. Mr. Nofar is also a Certified Public Accountant.
