Patricia A. Stamler is a partner at HERTZ SCHRAM P.C., where she is primarily responsible for employment and civil rights matter.  She has published articles and lectured on a wide variety of legal topics pertaining to employment law, disability law, defamation and sexual abuse.   Some of her publications include: "Picture Yourself on a Talk Show," Michigan Bar Journal, Vol. 78, No. 11, November 1999; "Guidelines For Representing Adult Clients in Mental Health Adjudication," by the State Bar Committee on the Mentally Disabled, Michigan Bar Journal, Vol. 69, No. 10, October 1990;"Eliminating the Silent Hearing," Michigan Bar Journal, Vol. 66, No. 1, January 1987.

She received her Bachelors of Arts with honors in a dual major of English and Anthropology from Michigan State University and her Juris Doctor from Wayne State University School of Law.  She is a member of the Michigan and American Trial Lawyers Association, the National Lawyers Guild, and the National Employment Lawyers Association.  She has served as a Board member of the National Lawyers Guild and is presently in the Employment Discrimination Law Section of the Michigan Association for Justice.

Ms. Stamler's significant case results include successful representation of: 

  • over 3,000 African-American employees in a class action case against a local hospital resulting in a total settlement exceeding $3,000,000.00;
  • over 1,000 people in wheelchairs who could not board the buses ending in a verdict of $2.8 million for the first 18 plaintiffs;
  • several victims of sexual abuse, including a ten year old girl who was sexually assaulted  by her parochial school teacher resulting in a settlement close to one half a half million dollars;
  • twelve clients in a race discrimination failure to promote matter resulting in a settlement exceeding $1,000,000.00;
  • cognitively impaired man who was a victim of police brutality in violation of his civil rights yielding a settlement over $500,000.00;
  • type-1 diabetic who became legally blind in both eyes during his incarceration resulting in a settlement exceeding $1.2 million dollars;
  • terminated employee who had suffered a stroke just before termination, culminating in a settlement of a quarter of a million dollars;
  • numerous individuals in various qui tam cases that gave rise to settlements ranging from $6.3 million to $450,000.00
