Our Team

Lisa M. Kavalhuna is a partner with Hertz Schram and is a member of the firm's Corporate Law, Entertainment & Sports and Medical and Dental Practice Groups. Ms. Kavalhuna works closely with clients that conduct business in various industries or matters relating to initial organization, structuring, private financing, acquisitions and dispositions of business assets and interests, business separations and business succession matters. Her practice further includes working with non-profit organizations and business seeking minority owned certification. She has extensive experience in the formation of limited liability companies and joint venture transactions. As a member of the Entertainment & Sports Practice Group, Ms. Kavalhuna prepares and reviews agreements on behalf of recording companies, publishing companies, and artists in the entertainment industry.

Ms. Kavalhuna earned her law degree from the University of Toledo College of Law where she was a member of the Moot Court. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Western Michigan University in 1990. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Kavalhuna worked with the Kalamazoo County Prosecutor's Office in Kalamazoo, Michigan as a Witness Coordinator in the Victim Assistance - Witness Division. She has served as an adjunct faculty member at Davenport University teaching Business Law and is a periodic lecturer on business related topics.

Ms. Kavalhuna is a member of the American, Michigan, Ohio, and Oakland County Bar Associations and of the women business owners of South Eastern Michigan. She is licensed to practice law in Ohio and Michigan.
