Our Team

Deborah S. Lapin ("Debbie") is an associate with the law firm of Hertz Schram PC. Debbie has extensive litigation experience in both state and federal courts. Debbie focuses her practice on all aspects of real estate litigation, particularly mortgage lien priority disputes, title insurance coverage disputes, and other contractual disputes. She spent six years as a public defender in New York City developing her courtroom, legal writing, and negotiation skills. Debbie's experience in the courtroom was also strengthened by her work as an associate at a busy plaintiff's litigation firm.

Debbie received her Juris Doctor in 1990 from Western New England College School of Law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1987 from the University of New Hampshire. She is a member of the State Bars of Michigan, New York and Connecticut, and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
